OUR PROCESS

How Cellgen™ Is Made

Most collagen manufacturers start with dried or frozen hides that have been transported — sometimes internationally — before processing begins. By the time hydrolysis starts, the bioactive potential of the raw material has already diminished at the molecular level.

We start differently.

Our facility in Central West New South Wales is integrated directly at the point of raw material origin. Fresh Australian bovine hides enter processing immediately after harvest — with zero lag between source and production. This real-time manufacturing model is a global first in collagen production, and it is the foundation of everything that makes Cellgen™ different.

The Pasture to Peptide Promise
Cellgen™
Step 01
Australian Pasture
Grass-fed cattle raised without growth hormones on natural pasture in regional NSW. Fully traceable to origin.
Step 02
On-Site Hide Sourcing
Fresh hides enter processing immediately after harvest, eliminating lag that compromises bioactive integrity.
Step 03
Preparation
Hides undergo immediate cleaning and pre-treatment to remove impurities.
Step 04
Ultra Hydrolysis
Enzymatic hydrolysis breaks down the native collagen triple helix structure and hydrolyses long collagen polypeptides into small, highly bioavailable peptide chains.
Step 05
Filtration & Drying
Membrane filtration mechanically clarifies collagen peptide solution. The solution is then dried into a fine, stable powder.
Step 06
Testing & Dispatch
Every batch is independently tested for molecular weight, safety and amino acid composition before dispatch worldwide.

What Clean Processing Looks Like

Not all collagen is created equal. The difference begins long before the product reaches your formulation.
Industry Standard Commodity Collagen
VS
Cellgen™ Clean Enzymatic Process
Acid bath pre-treatment to break down hide structure
Bleaching agents applied to achieve bright white colour
Harsh chemical intervention throughout hydrolysis
Preservatives added to extend shelf life of raw material
Binding agents used to standardise texture and flow
Hides preserved in salt or brine for weeks during transit
No acid baths
No Bleaching — natural creamy colour preserved
Natural enzymatic hydrolysis
No preservatives required — processed immediately at source
No binding agents — pure peptide output, nothing added
Hides enter hydrolysis within hours of harvest — on-site
The visible difference — colour as a quality indicator
Commodity Collagen Bright White Achieved through bleaching agents.
A cosmetic result, not a natural one.
Cellgen™ Natural Cream The unaltered colour of genuinely
clean collagen processing.
